WellPrept is a doctor-to-patient content distribution system.

You spent time building your templates, dot phrases, and order sets. Build out your WellPrept patient education pages with content of your choosing (or our suggesting), and fill in the gap that currently doesn't exist: patients preparing for your clinic. Share your page(s) with just one link or QR code.

Consider these questions:

1. Do you have a Linkedin profile? Doximity profile? Wellprept is similar, and optimized for sharing with patients.

2. If you're in front of a patient and you say, "Go to NCCN(dot)org and search for patient guides," or "Go to YouTube and search for atrial fibrillation," would you ask permission to do that? 

To a great degree, doctors need to take charge again. You're simply pointing patients to a website (with your profile) to learn about their condition(s).

Because you have certain explanations (my grandmother called them 'spiels ') that you have said, or will say thousands of times. Fantastic educational materials already exist on the web. You may even have your own. We see Wellprept as a simple delivery mechanism. Now you can get them in your patient's hands, well-organized.

Enjoy more time for deeper conversations with your patients. By creating space to discuss details pertaining to them in particular, you'll be more engaged. It's a win-win.

WellPrept Notify is built-in HIPAA compliant functionality that lets you send an appointment reminder along with educational material. Your WellPrept links will be sent to patients (via email and no-reply SMS). Sending before patients arrive is best practice.

You can even assign members of your team to send on your behalf. They get their own separate login.

If you're face to face, a QR code on your phone is all it takes.

It's easy, and takes minutes. There are three main sections. 

(1) The header: business card-esque information. Your phone numbers, office locations, main title, and profile pic

(2) About me: Fill in your main profile pages from around the web, any awards or accolades, and that "meet the doc" video link on YouTube that nobody watches? If you have one of those, it'll finally get air time.

(3) Condition pages: This is the best part. Link your favorite YouTube videos, articles, guidelines, podcasts, and even upload your patient handouts. We have examples to get your going.

WellPrept is a web-application. No download from the app store. 

Your patients don't need to login to anything - they're just visiting your personalized page(s) on the web, just as they would visit any website.

You (the provider) have access to your own dashboard to build and edit your pages (your back-end part has a login).

After a 30 day trial, WellPrept has a monthly subscription fee. If you're a resident/fellow, it's free for the duration of your training.

Just make sure it's fully responsive (automatically adjusts to look perfect on mobile, tablet, and desktop).

And make sure you can edit the content, upload your own documents, add and subtract new condition pages, and change everything at will without submitting a ticket.

Make sure they provide patient engagement (page visits) data to you.

Oh, and assign a QR code to every page. And btw, if you change the name of your page, make sure all the old QR codes will still link to your updated page.

In those scenarios (and this applies in certain specialties) where the diagnosis is made or clarified during the encounter, WellPrept resources are perfect to give on the way out (e.g. in an after visit summary, or as a handout with QR code).
