docology prepares the chart. WellPrept prepares the patient.
WellPrept, the provider of patient education for modern practices, and docology, the clinical document intake company, today announced a partnership to help practices streamline document and patient information flows to enable more meaningful doctor-patient interactions.
docology turns messy referral packets, faxes, and outside records into a clear, clinically useful summary in the chart before the visit. WellPrept makes sure patients arrive knowing what to expect, with education delivered before and around their visits and procedures. Together, the two companies help clinicians and office staff to keep the focus on patients.
“docology prepares the chart, and WellPrept prepares the patient,” said Tyler Hamik, Co-Founder and CEO of docology. “We were both founded in a clinic. When it comes to patient education, I don’t think there’s anyone better on the market than WellPrept.”
“The partnership between docology and WellPrept makes so much sense because it’s born out of lived experience,” said Dr. David Canes, Founder and CEO of WellPrept. “The information for patients always existed. It just never showed up the moment patients needed it most. The time you have face-to-face with a patient is the most precious time you get, and we need to maximize it.”
What the partnership brings to a practice
A visit-ready chart. docology captures, reads, classifies, and files incoming documents into the practice’s EMR, then provides a summary and medical timeline before the patient walks in.
A prepared patient. WellPrept Journeys anticipates patient questions and delivers timed content around procedures and tests, so preparation happens on time, procedures stay on schedule, and staff spend less time on crises.
A prepared staff. WellPrept Clarity turns a practice’s tribal knowledge, policies, and workflows into a single, trusted answer system for staff.
“docology does one very specific thing well: it takes messy referral packets and turns them into a clear and clinically useful summary before the visit,” said Dr. Sida Niu, Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of docology. “So when I walk into the room, I’m more prepared, focused, and actually present with the patient.”
Dr. Canes described the result for practices: “That means a peaceful front desk, a back office with the bandwidth to focus on the patients in front of them instead of sorting documents, and doctors working at the top of their license. That’s what we offer together, beyond what we offer alone.”
